Door de decoratie op het servies wil ik mensen bewuster maken van het productieproces achter het voedsel dat ze eten. De decoratie op het servies volgt de stappen van de productie van het dier tot product. Tijdens de gangen van het diner wordt het verhaal verteld van begin tot einde, van dier tot product, van amuse tot dessert.

De series beginnen met de amuse, een afbeelding van het levende dier zoals iedereen ze kent. Daarna begint het productieproces abstracter getekend omdat dat het gedeelte is dat mensen minder goed kennen. De serie eindigt met een dessertbord waarbij de eindfase wordt afgebeeld, zoals mensen de producten kennen uit de winkel.

  

Through the decoration on the plates I want to make people more aware of the production process of the food they eat.

 

The decoration on the plates follows the steps of the production of the animal to product. During the courses of the diner the story will be told from beginning to end, from animal to product, from appetizer to dessert.

 

The series start with an appetizer, a drawing of the living animal as everyone knows then. After that the production process starts which is drawn abstracter because it’s the part of the process people know less about. The series end with a dessert plate in which the end phase will be shown as people know it from the store.
